Emergency plan and disaster-risk management
Earthquakes, wildfires, tsunami on the coast: in the Valparaíso Region the emergency plan is not a formality.
What the law requires
- Management plan for reducing risks of emergencies, catastrophes or disasters at every workplace (DS 44).
- Inform workers of risks, response mechanisms, evacuation routes and assembly points.
- Drill or simulation at least once a year, with a record.
- Sufficient extinguishers with valid maintenance, staff trained in their use and signposted, unobstructed escape routes (DS 594).

Common questions about this service
Do I need an approved evacuation plan?
The emergency plan is required in every company. Some sectors, such as schools, health facilities or premises with a sanitary licence, also require endorsed floor plans and plans. We tell you what applies in your case.
How long does a drill take?
Between 20 and 40 minutes, including the debrief. What matters is that it is recorded and that observations are corrected.
