Situations we solve

The following cases are illustrative examples built from real, frequent situations in the region’s companies. They do not identify clients; they show how we work and the results we aim for.

Construction company with DS 40 regulations and an inspection on the way

The situation

A mid-sized construction company received a summons from the Labour Inspectorate. Its internal regulations cited DS 40, there was no job-specific IRL and the joint committee had never been set up.

What we did

  • Diagnosis with the official inspection form (FUF) on the first visit.
  • Internal regulations updated to DS 44 with a Ley Karin protocol and signed receipt from all staff.
  • Site IPER matrix, job-specific IRL and preventive work programme.
  • Joint committee election and registration with the Labour Directorate, with member induction.

Result

The company presented the complete folder within the deadline and the inspection closed without a fine. It now keeps a monthly advisory.

Transport company with repeated commuting accidents

The situation

A small transport company accumulated commuting and driving accidents. The insurer had warned that the additional premium could rise at the next assessment.

What we did

  • Election of the health and safety delegate and 8-hour training.
  • Road-risk prevention plan added to the preventive programme, with 5-minute talks for drivers.
  • Investigation of previous incidents with the Causal Tree and measures on shifts and rest.
  • Monthly records and statistics required by DS 44.

Result

The accident rate fell steadily over the year and the company reached the DS 67 assessment with a documented management system.

The situation

A maintenance contractor won a contract at a high-altitude mine site. The client demanded a complete start-up folder, MINSAL protocols and altitude exams before entry.

What we did

  • Requirements index from the client’s terms and a site-specific IPER matrix.
  • Safe work procedures, job-specific IRL, PPE records and training programme.
  • Coordination with the insurer for PLANESI, PREXOR and hypobaria, and scheduling of occupational exams.
  • Monthly documentation updates during the contract.

Result

The crew entered the site on the committed date and the folder passed the client’s audits without major observations.

The situation

A hotel with a restaurant had high turnover, night shifts and an informal harassment complaint. There was no protocol, complaint channel or psychosocial assessment.

What we did

  • Ley Karin protocol integrated into the internal regulations and a confidential complaint channel.
  • Training for supervisors and appointment of investigators.
  • CEAL-SM questionnaire applied with an application committee and discussion groups.
  • Intervention plan on shift organisation and dealing with customers.

What we did

  • IPER matrix and risk map using the ISP Guide v3.
  • PREXOR protocol coordinated with the insurer and a hearing conservation programme.
  • Machinery, equipment and tools safety programme with lockout and tagging.
  • PPE management procedure with delivery, training and replacement records.

Result

Services company that grew past 100 workers

The situation

As it grew, the company became obliged to have a prevention department led by an expert. Its in-house officer needed support to organise the management system and prepare a tender that required ISO 45001.

What we did

  • Legal compliance audit and legal requirements matrix.
  • Design of the OHS management system aligned with DS 44 and ISO 45001.
  • Training of the joint committee and the prevention team in accident investigation.
  • Internal audit and preparation of the management review.

Result

The company presented its management system in the tender and scheduled the certification audit for the following semester.
